Due to demand we have decided to offer three levels of even­ing classes. Clos­ing date for applic­a­tions is 14th Feb­ru­ary 2021. Stu­dents who have pre­vi­ously stud­ied with EasyT­ibetan can apply for con­ces­sions, giv­ing reas­ons why this is needed.

Mani

Beginners Course

8‑week class

LENGTH:  15th Feb­ru­ary to 12th April
LEVEL: Ele­ment­ary
MINIMUM AGE: 10 years old
HOURS: 2‑hour les­sons (once per week)
SIZE: Aver­age 10, max­im­um of 15 stu­dents.
TIMETABLE: Monday 17:00 to 19:00 (Lon­don time) (The time  may be changed after dis­cus­sion with class­mates dur­ing the first class)

Pre-intermediate Course

8‑week class

LENGTH:  16th Feb­ru­ary to 13th April
LEVEL: Pre-inter­me­di­ate level
MINIMUM AGE: 10 years old

Our Course Offerings

We have care­fully chosen a group of pro­fes­sion­al refugee Tibetan Lan­guage teach­ers to give online one-to-one les­sons.  Learn­ing Tibetan with our teach­ers will not only help you to mas­ter the lan­guage but will also sup­port them in improv­ing their refugee lifestyle.

Beginner 

20-hour classes  £18/hour

The beginner’s course cov­ers the Tibetan alpha­bet, gram­mar, and vocab­u­lary to hone basic read­ing skills. At the end of the course, stu­dents will be able to read the Tibetan script and be famil­i­ar with the basic vocab­u­lary and grammar.

Intermediate

10-hour classes £15/hour

The inter­me­di­ate course is designed for those who have a basic know­ledge of the Tibetan lan­guage and gram­mar. The course teaches stu­dents both mod­ern and clas­sic­al Tibetan. There is a wide range of les­sons care­fully pre­pared for this class, from gram­mar to stor­ies to con­ver­sa­tion­al units.

Advanced  

10-hour classes £20/hour

The advanced course is designed to take your Tibetan skills to the next level with our exper­i­enced teach­ers. This course cov­ers a wide range of sub­jects depend­ing on the stu­dents’ focus. From read­ing Buddhist text­books to his­tor­ic­al doc­u­ments and from devel­op­ing flu­ent con­ver­sa­tion skills to prac­tising listen­ing skills of teach­ings and lec­tures.    This course is suit­able for the stu­dents who are doing research in Tibetan stud­ies or Buddhist who wish to make fur­ther devel­op­ments in their Dharma studies.

Classical Tibetan

10-hour classes £20/hour

The clas­sic­al Tibetan course is designed for those who have a basic know­ledge of the Tibetan lan­guage and gram­mar. This course is par­tic­u­larly for those who wish to do research at the uni­ver­sity level.  In this course, stu­dents can recom­mend a spe­cif­ic text­book, be that Buddhist text­books or his­tor­ic­al doc­u­ments,  which they would like to go through with our instructors.

Taster Session

2‑hour classes   free

We also do taster classes every time we have up to 20 stu­dents signed up for our taster classes.  Please spe­cify your interest and the level in the form.

Conversation Class

10-hour classes £15/hour
